Leadership

Mike Ellis

With more than 30 years of experience in the software and technology industries, Mike has held senior executive roles at SAP, i2 Technologies, Oracle, and Apple. Mike has also provided consulting expertise to some of the largest software firms and venture-funded startups to define and drive new growth and execution opportunities.

Mike has played and performed professionally as a guitarist and keyboard player and still enjoys playing.

Lasse Andresen

A powerhouse of tireless can-do enthusiasm, Lasse brings a unique blend of business, technical and people skills to ForgeRock. His 20+ years of experience in the software industry includes leadership roles at both Sun Microsystems (he served as CTO for Sun Central and Northern Europe) and Texas Instruments. Lasse was also the co-founder and CTO of Gravityrock. Lasse’s passion and vision for entrepreneurship ensures ForgeRock is always ready to execute and deliver.

Jamie Nelson

Jamie has more than 20 years of experience building high-performance enterprise software and has focused on identity and access management for 10 years. Prior to joining ForgeRock, Jamie served as the Director of Engineering at Sun Microsystems, where he led access management, federation and web services. His team was also responsible for creating and building the product and community around the single sign-on project OpenSSO. Jamie has also held management and engineering positions in enterprise portal software, user management and network management.

Daniel Raskin

Daniel has more than 15 years of experience building brands and driving product leadership. Prior to joining ForgeRock, he served as Chief Identity Strategist at Sun Microsystems. Daniel has also held leadership positions at McGraw-Hill, NComputing, Barnes & Noble and Agari. He holds a master’s degree in international management from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a master’s degree in publishing from Pace University.

John Barco

John has more than 20 years of experience building innovative products for enterprise customers with focus on identity and access management for the last 12 years. Prior to joining ForgeRock, he served as Sr. Director of Product Management for the Identity Management group at Sun Microsystems. John has also held leadership positions at iPlanet, Silicon Graphics, NComputing, and IronKey. He holds a degree in industrial engineering from Missouri State University.

Neil Chapman

Neil has been delivering mission-critical enterprise technology solutions across the globe for nearly 20 years. He has worked with financial giants like Enron and Credit Suisse and headed sales and business development at a variety of enterprise solution vendors. A veteran of several startups and mid-stage growth technology companies, Neil brings an entrepreneurial, commercial-driven focus to ForgeRock’s growth strategy. Neil is passionate about open source, good science, mountains and the written word.

Steve Ferris

Steve has spent over a decade providing consulting, training and support to many of Sun Microsystems’ key accounts and evangelizing the open source and open standard story. His professionalism and dedication to outstanding customer service is what makes ForgeRock the industry leader in customer support. An ardent computer scientist, Steve can often be found sitting at his laptop with his two labradors, Peach and Pelham.

Frank Pisciuneri

Frank brings broad international experience in finance, operations, human resources and business development to ForgeRock. A former managing director at Silicon Valley Bank, Frank is a seasoned business developer. He has served as CFO at Wyse Technology, held numerous senior management positions at Citrix Systems and Ryder Systems, and worked as an auditor at Deloitte.

When he’s not crunching numbers, Frank is rocking out on his electric guitar.

Scott McNealy

Scott McNealy is the co-founder of Sun Microsystems, the computer technology company he started in 1982 with Vinod Khosla, Bill Joy and Andy Bechtolsheim and the progenitor of many ForgeRock open-source products. He is the former CEO of Sun and current chairman of Wayin, a mobile Q&A polling service designed to let individuals and brands quickly create and respond to polls in real-time. McNealy earned a bachelor of arts in economics from Harvard and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

James Gosling

Known as the “Father of Java,” Dr. James A. Gosling built the Java programming language in 1994 while working at Sun Microsystems. He currently serves as an advisor to ForgeRock and is the Chief Software Architect at Liquid Robotics, maker of the Wave Glider, the first unmanned maritime vehicle (UMV) that uses waves to propel itself as it collects and relays data about ocean environments. Gosling has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Calgary and a doctorate in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University. A seasoned computer scientist, Gosling built a version of Emacs, a multi-processor version of Unix, and several other computer programs.

With nearly 20 years of experience, Alex Ott is a seasoned veteran in the enterprise software technology industry. He is recognized as a sales and marketing expert with broad knowledge and expertise in growing sales, international markets and shareholder value. Ott is the owner and founder of CrossContinentalVentures, a global advisory firm since 2003 that partners with entrepreneurs in thought-leading technology enterprises. He previously served on the executive committee of Siebel Systems and on the extended management board at SAP AG. Ott holds a degree in economics and business management from University BA of Mannheim, Germany.
